Mark Marquis on Saturday night--guitar at its finest!

Okay--this gentleman comes to Gravity highly recommended. I would probably describe Mark Marquis as an unheralded genius. Mark has been performing and teaching guitar for many years in New England and I consider it a real treat that we can bring his artistry to Gravity. Do yourselves a favor and check out some of Mark's work on youtube. Hope to see you there!

River Roast is on the way!

Early teaser for you--Saturday, August 14th--The First Annual River Roast at Kiki's and the Gravity Tavern. 2p~10p--live music and great food along the river. More details to come!

Gary Lopez is back

Tonight, crowd favorite Gary Lopez returns for another great show--it looks to be a crowded night too, so get there early.

Catching up again

Well--it has been a couple of weeks and we've had some good times here in New Boston. After NewFound Grass and Putnam Smith, there was a 'secret' show up on a local farm where we all got to enjoy Greensky Bluegrass. That was a real treat and I sure hope that the boys from Kalamazoo had fun. I'd love to get them back some day, but the way they're going, it'll be hard enough just to get tickets to a show!

What a great show...

Many thanks to Steve and the boys from NewFound Grass--a long night full of great music, and a special thanks to guest fiddler Bradley Winfield Parker. The house was full and the music was fantastic.

Next up--Putnam Smith.

Hope to see you all soon!

Coming up--sneak peek!

Leave August 14th open--more to come!

SuperFrog, JamAntics booked for later in September. Russell Hill Band returns.

Sundays on The Deck and River for a grilled up lunch and some light acoustic music.

NewFound Grass!

That's right--a little more bluegrass at Gravity! On Friday, July 2nd, please join us at Gravity for NH's own NewFound Grass. This should be an awesome show and we are very excited to have the band come through!

Catching up with Gravity

Well, it has been a few weeks, and we've had some happenings and developments at Gravity. In addition to a smokin' Dave Gerard and Acoustic Truffle show, we've had Seth Connelly come through, and a pair of fantastic bluegrass acts--The Bradford Bog People and Hot Mustard. The crowds have been great and we are looking forward to even more entertainment in the near future!

Great week of music at Gravity.

Thursday's show was fun and funky with the throwback artists, Outrageous Fortune. And then Friday night, Seth Connelly and his bandmates brought some awesome picking and vocals as The Seeing Eye Boys. And those that came through on Sunday got to witness a fantastic Celtics win on the wide-screen LCDs. A solid weekend of entertainment all around.

Celtics and Music!

Special for tonight, Outrageous Fortune is scheduled to play earlier so that they can finish their set in time for the start of Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Come on down to Gravity and enjoy some great live music before cheering on the Boston Celtics!

Outrageous Fortune

Next up! Fresh off a great time at the North Shore Folk Festival, the band Outrageous Fortune will be treeking out to New Boston for a Thursday show at Gravity. Come on down and enjoy some great music from 3 talented artists!

Many thanks to the Russell Hill boys!

A great show that lasted well into the night--awesome jams and great original material. Many thanks to everyone that showed up to cheer the band on!

The Russell Hill Band

Things are really picking up steam at Gravity, as we bring in local talent, The Russell Hill Band. These guys have a ton of original material and feature some fantastic rhythyms and guitar playing. Be sure to get there early and get a good seat!

Great time with Michelle and Erik!

A great time was had on Friday night, thanks in large part to Michelle's powerful vocals and Erik's smooth work on the strings. I suspect we'll be seeing them again in the future!

Next up--RHB.

Music this Friday at Gravity

Friday, May 21 at The Gravity Tavern:

“Acoustic Memoirs - featuring Michelle & Erik Strout”

Introduced to each other during a gig in 1994, NH natives, Michelle and Erik Strout found an exciting musical balance. The two continued to play music together after that initial college performance; and four years later became a highly sought out husband/wife musical duo. Their repertoire mix of classic rock, folk and blues is a definite crowd pleaser.

Erik studied classical guitar at Keene State, and has taught the instrument at Exeter Music and the Leddy Center. He has also worked the theater pit band circuit, playing guitar for shows like Jesus Christ Superstar, Rocky Horror, Godspell, Man of La Mancha and Grease.

Michelle’s signature solo performance is her Patsy Cline Tribute which she performs around the state. It is her rendition of “Crazy” that helped Michelle make it to the stage of Miss America in 1997, where she represented the State of NH.

In an article included in a 2001 issue of HippoPress, the writer states, “Michelle is gifted with a superb set of alto vocal chords and a pair of lungs to match. She has the ability to penetrate the ears and go directly to the emotions of every listener”

Gearing up for a great season at Kiki's and The Gravity Tavern!

We've been fortunate enough to have some outstanding local music play at Gravity and we're gearing up for a great season. Stay tuned for more announcements as the calendar gets finalized!
