Music this Friday at Gravity

Friday, May 21 at The Gravity Tavern:

“Acoustic Memoirs - featuring Michelle & Erik Strout”

Introduced to each other during a gig in 1994, NH natives, Michelle and Erik Strout found an exciting musical balance. The two continued to play music together after that initial college performance; and four years later became a highly sought out husband/wife musical duo. Their repertoire mix of classic rock, folk and blues is a definite crowd pleaser.

Erik studied classical guitar at Keene State, and has taught the instrument at Exeter Music and the Leddy Center. He has also worked the theater pit band circuit, playing guitar for shows like Jesus Christ Superstar, Rocky Horror, Godspell, Man of La Mancha and Grease.

Michelle’s signature solo performance is her Patsy Cline Tribute which she performs around the state. It is her rendition of “Crazy” that helped Michelle make it to the stage of Miss America in 1997, where she represented the State of NH.

In an article included in a 2001 issue of HippoPress, the writer states, “Michelle is gifted with a superb set of alto vocal chords and a pair of lungs to match. She has the ability to penetrate the ears and go directly to the emotions of every listener”
